Simple summary

SnappyBox does not require an account and does not currently upload your inventory to a SnappyBox cloud account or SnappyBox server.

1. Quick summary

  • Your boxes, items, locations, notes, and photos are saved locally on your iPhone.
  • SnappyBox does not ask for a SnappyBox account, password, or contact list.
  • Exports, backups, PDF reports, and shared files are created only when you choose to make them.
  • Photo label assist uses on-device text detection.
  • Apple handles App Store purchases, purchase restoration, App Analytics, crash reports, iCloud backups, and iOS sharing features according to your Apple settings.
  • Website analytics are optional and only run if you accept analytics cookies.

2. Your app data

SnappyBox lets you save box names, item names, quantities, notes, dates, locations, and photos. This information is stored locally on your iPhone.

SnappyBox does not currently send your inventory to a SnappyBox server. Because the inventory stays on your device, you usually control it directly by editing or deleting records in the app, deleting the app, or managing your device and backup settings.

3. Camera, photos, and photo assist

If you choose to add photos, SnappyBox may ask for access to your camera or selected photo-library features. This is used to let you capture or choose images for your inventory.

Photo label assist looks for useful text in selected photos on your device. You can switch photo label assist off in Settings.

4. Backups, exports, and sharing

You may choose to create backup files, CSV exports, photo export packages, PDF reports, or shared files. These files may include your inventory information and photos.

When you share with another iPhone, SnappyBox creates a file and hands it to the iOS share sheet. SnappyBox does not receive or store the file. Review exports before sending them and share only with people you trust.

5. Apple services

Apple may process information through App Store purchases, purchase restoration, refunds, crash reports, App Analytics, iCloud backups, Messages, and the iOS share sheet. These services are provided by Apple and are controlled by your Apple account, device, and privacy settings.

SnappyBox may review Apple's App Store Connect and App Analytics reports to understand downloads, purchases, crashes, and general app performance. This helps improve quality. SnappyBox does not add third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking SDKs to the app.

6. Website and cookies

When you visit snappybox.app, normal hosting and security systems may process technical information such as request time, requested page, browser type, IP address, and error information. This helps deliver and protect the website.

Google Analytics on the website is optional. It remains blocked unless you choose "Accept analytics." If accepted, analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure website usage, such as pages viewed, device type, approximate location, referral source, and session activity. SnappyBox does not use Google Analytics for personalised advertising.
