SnappyBox is operated by Design Farm in South Africa.
1. Who provides SnappyBox
SnappyBox is developed and operated by Design Farm, trading as SnappyBox ("SnappyBox", "we", "us", or "our").
Postal address: PO Box 222, Fountainbleau, Johannesburg, 2032,
South Africa.
Email: privacy@snappybox.app
2. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms apply when you download, access, or use the SnappyBox iPhone app, website, or related services. If you do not agree, do not use SnappyBox.
SnappyBox is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, use the app only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
3. App licence
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use SnappyBox on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store usage rules. The app is licensed, not sold.
Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting SnappyBox. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the app-licence provisions and may enforce them where applicable.
4. Free use and permanent unlock
The free version allows you to create up to three boxes. A one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase permanently unlocks the paid app features made available with that purchase, subject to your Apple account and Apple's purchase-restoration rules.
Apple processes the payment. The price, currency, taxes, refund rules, and payment terms displayed by Apple before purchase apply. Prices may vary by country and may change before purchase. There is no recurring SnappyBox subscription unless a future offer clearly states otherwise and you separately agree to it.
5. Local storage and backups
Your box records, item details, notes, and photographs are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not receive or keep a copy on our servers.
Your app data may be included in normal iPhone or iCloud device backups according to your Apple settings. Apple, not SnappyBox, operates those backup services. You are responsible for keeping suitable backups. Removing the app, losing a device, disabling backups, or resetting a device may result in permanent data loss.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use SnappyBox for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;
- record or share content that violates another person's privacy, confidentiality, or intellectual-property rights;
- catalogue stolen goods or use the app to conceal unlawful activity;
- introduce malware, interfere with security, or disrupt the app or website;
- copy, resell, or distribute the app except as permitted by law; or
- reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the inventory information and photographs on your device. SnappyBox, its software, design, branding, text, and other materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law.
9. Updates and availability
We may update SnappyBox for security, compatibility, legal, or product reasons. Some features may require a supported iPhone, iOS version, or app update. We do not promise that the app will always be uninterrupted or compatible with every future device.
10. Liability
SnappyBox is an organisational tool, not an insurance, security, valuation, or emergency service. You remain responsible for checking, protecting, insuring, transporting, and storing your belongings and for verifying the accuracy of your records.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss or loss caused by inaccurate records, device failure, missing backups, or services controlled by Apple.
11. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. South African consumers retain applicable rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Apple's App Store payment and refund processes apply without removing any statutory rights that apply to you.
12. Ending use
You may stop using SnappyBox at any time. Deleting the app may delete locally stored data that is not recoverable from an Apple backup. We may discontinue or restrict the app where reasonably necessary for legal, security, or serious misuse reasons, while respecting mandatory consumer rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the app, law, or business changes. We will publish the revised version and update its effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice where required.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without limiting any right to approach a competent consumer protection body. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern.
